Within hours, “Geeta Bhardwaj” was trending on X (formerly Twitter), and fans were left wondering if Uorfi had actually converted.

Uorfi Javed Clarifies Her Stand on Religion

“I myself left the religion long ago. Who is making these things up now?” she told news agency IANS.
She was even more annoyed by the rumours regarding her name change. She made it clear that she has no plans to become “Geeta Bhardwaj” or anyone else.
“I don’t follow any religion. I am an atheist. How would you get somebody out of a place they don’t exist in in the first place?” she asked.
