Hugh Jackman Drops HUGE Hint About Wolverine’s Return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’!

NEW YORK: He said he was done, then he said “never say never,” and now, Hugh Jackman has sent the Marvel fandom into a total tailspin. During a recent appearance on the popular talk show The View, the 57-year-old Australian icon gave the strongest hint yet that his journey as Logan is far from over. After the record-breaking success of Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024, it seems the adamantium claws might be staying out for the next big MCU crossover.

The “Doomsday” Question That Stunned Everyone

During his sit-down on Wednesday, host Sunny Hostin didn’t hold back, asking Jackman point-blank if his recent comments about “not feeling at the end” were a clue that he’s joining the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. Jackman, ever the showman, chose a very cheeky way to “not” answer. Instead of a firm no, he covered his face with his hands and quipped, “That’s not a clue. Watch my face. Try to work this out. No.” His playful avoidance and mysterious smirk have led fans to believe that a secret contract might already be signed for the 2026 blockbuster.

Why Jackman’s “Gut” Says Logan Isn’t Done

Even though he famously “retired” from the role after 2017’s Logan, Jackman admitted that his perspective shifted completely once he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper. He recalled how Ryan Reynolds spent five years calling him to return before he finally said “I’m in.” Now, he feels there is still a story left to tell. “I go with this—and that’s what my gut says—it’s not done,” Jackman explained. While he added that “Marvel might have different ideas,” it’s hard to imagine the studio saying no to one of their biggest box-office draws.

The Massive ‘Avengers’ Reunion Rumours

Jackman’s latest tease comes at a time when Avengers: Doomsday is already shaping up to be a nostalgic powerhouse. With rumors swirling that legacy stars like Patrick Stewart (Professor X) and Ian McKellen (Magneto) could return alongside Robert Downey Jr.’s new Doctor Doom, a Wolverine cameo—or a full-blown lead role—seems almost inevitable. Whether it’s a small appearance to set up Avengers: Secret Wars or a major team-up with the new Avengers, Jackman is clearly keeping the door wide open for Logan to “dominate and destroy” once again.
